Pre-Alpha 1.1.0 Release Notes


A massive thank you to everyone who has playtested this game so far, and provided invaluable feedback! You are all very appreciated.

Basic Card Changes:

  • Fireball -> Deal 3 damage. Apply 2 burn.
  • Boiling Point -> Deal 6 damage to a burned enemy.
  • Blazing Glory -> Deal 12 damage. Take 3 damage.
  • Ice Shard -> Deal 4 damage. Apply 1 chill.
  • Shatter -> Deal 3 damage to a chilled enemy for each stack of chill on that enemy.
  • Hailstorm -> Deal 3 damage to all enemies. Apply 2 chill.
  • Blizzard -> Deal 7 damage to all enemies. Apply 2 chill.
  • Corruption -> Deal 8 damage to a dazed enemy. Discard 1 card.
  • Cleanse -> Spirit cost reduced to 1
  • Divine Blessing -> Draw 1 card. Restore 2 health.
  • Block -> Gain 5 block.
  • Valiant Shield -> Gain 7 block.
  • Earthquake -> Deal 4 damage to all enemies.

Fusion Card Changes:

  • Fireball Barrage -> Deal 3 damage to all enemies. Apply 2 burn.
  • Combustion -> Deal 10 damage to a burned enemy.
  • Scorched Earth -> Deal 6 damage to all enemies. Apply 2 burn.
  • Glacial Spear -> Deal 7 damage. Apply 1 chill.
  • Polar Vortex -> Deal 12 damage to all chilled enemies. Deal 6 damage to all other enemies.
  • Glacial Fissure -> Deal 6 damage to all enemies. Apply 1 chill.
  • Cold Snap -> Deal 8 damage to all chilled enemies.
  • Wrathful Corruption -> Deal 12 damage to a dazed enemy. Discard 1 card.
  • Soul Drain -> Deal 6 damage. Restore 2 health.
  • Hallowed Ground -> Deal 6 damage to all enemies. Restore 1 health for each enemy hit this way.
  • Purification -> Remove all statuses from yourself. Restore 2 health.
  • Radiant Ray -> Deal 6 damage. Apply 2 burn.

Gameplay improvements:

  • Can no longer encounter duplicate nodes consecutively
  • Slight buff to health for all enemies
  • Numerous card balance changes (see beginning of dev log)
  • Can now left click to confirm second fusion card instead of only allowing right-click
  • Updated various tooltips to increase clarity.

Bug fixes:

  • Map legend can now close properly
  • Health sliders can no longer be interacted with
  • Fixed issues with Mac build
  • Hovering over discard pile in victory screen highlighted a card choice

Known outstanding bugs/needed improvements:

  • Weird behaviors with aspect ratios that aren't 16:9
  • Fusion mechanic should be much more prominent, especially for new players
  • Card choices should (mostly) reflect the theme of the deck you started with
  • Can't inspect cards outside battle
  • Allow players to remove cards from their deck at certain nodes
  • Remove map generation button (this will come once the map generation feels balanced)
  • Make the Enchanted Oasis node more interactive
  • More feedback when the HP bar is hit
  • More enemies, more cards, more fusions, and more map choices!
  • Hovering an owned rune at certain nodes will hover options on screen
  • Missing ability to continue your game where you left off after closing or returning to main menu
